“Public speaking” is an important competition which was organised by The Association of youth and The African Para diplomacy in corporation with the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Education in Dakhla, on December the sixth, in The Regional Center of Investment.
More than twenty students from different high schools were invited to take part in this contest. The competition started at four o’clock. Each participant was allowed about three minutes to introduce his/her speech. A committee of six judges; mostly high school teachers of English; evaluated the students’ oral presentations; which were various , interesting and deal with up-to-date topics of great concern; in a fair and democratic atmosphere. They awarded Mohammed Abet first place: a student from AlKhalij Senior High School.
Many VIPs attended this great event namely: the president of the Pedagogical Department, the Administrative Attaché of the Fourth Department; the Students’ Parents Association and some of the educational staff.
The prize giving ceremony will be on December 21st in order to reward the excellent and distinguished participants.
